ABSOLEM GLEAVES CEMETERY
HE-22: NASHVILLE, DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. CENTRAL PIKE
This cemetery was surveyed in the Davidson County Cemetery Survey on May 25, 2001. At that time the cemetery was completely overgrown and in poor condition. In February 2005, Gleaves family descendants, headed by Owen C. Gleaves, cleared and greatly improved the condition of the cemetery. To see the names of all volunteers involved in this project, please click-on “Thomas Gleaves Cemetery” which was cleared by family members at the same time.
Davidson County Cemetery surveyors returned on February 26, 2005, and re-surveyed the tombstones and inscriptions. George Wilkerson mapped & counted the fieldstones.
