Research Information.
Teresa Ghee Elliott contacted the Davidson County Cemetery Survey project, on July 15, 2004. Her description of the cemetery which was located on a hillside behind the old Antioch First Baptist Church (now called Lighthouse Baptist Church 2004) has been printed below.
“The entire hillside to the right of the two small graveyards was once filled with headstones. In the early 1970s the stones were not readable. Most were broken and illegible at that time. The children of the church had a playground at the base of the hill behind the brick building, and we played on the tombstones up and down the hill. As far as I know the church has no record of the burials. Shortly before the Antioch Baptist Church moved to their current location, across the street, the old building was flooded by Mill Creek.”
