Footstone: Yes Footstone Inscription: WH  Dec. 1883

  Note: William Herrin, son of  Elder William Herrin, was in Baxter’s

            Light Artillery Company, CSA, and died December 25, 1883.

Note:  Cemetery recorded by Herrin family descendants.  William Herrin Cemetery, located just over the Davidson County line into Cheatham, is included in Davidson County Cemetery Survey project at the request of the family.  Foundation stones for Primitive Baptist Church,  built ca. 1831, on William Herrin’s property, were located near the graveyard.   A copy of Herrin Family Journal, written by Martin Luther Herrin, youngest son of Elder William Herrin was presented to the Metro Archives by June and Will Walden and is available for study there.  2004.
