“William Howe Nance, who was born in Norway Co., Va., May 5, 1779. Married to Elizabeth V. Morton, in Pittsylvania Co., Va., in 1801 came thence to Davidson Co, Tenn. in 1806. United with the Old Baptist Church at Concord in 1812 and remained firm in the doctrine of Salvation by Grave through Jesus Christ until death. He filled many respectable offices in church and State – Died Oct. 5, 1837. Depart my friend and dry up your tears, for we must lie here till Christ appears..

b. in Prince Edward Co., Va. Jan. 1, 1780. Came to Davidson Co. Tenn. in the year 1806. United with Old Baptist Church of Concord 1812 and remained firm in the doctrine of Salvation by Grace through Jesus Christ until death.
