Report. Archaeology Investigation. Relocation on same tract of land

Developers were granted permission by Chancery Court to relocate the Aldrich Cemetery from its original location to a new location in the rear of the property.  Dan Allen, archaeologist and stone conservator, was in charge of the investigation for the graves and the subsequent relocation of the graves and tombstones. The project was completed in November 2007.  A total of 14 graves were relocated to the new burial site on the property. The iron fence and tombstones were re-set. Jan Cain, Una Community leader, was a frequent visitor to the cemetery during this project.
