SITE SURVEYED:  DECEMBER 29, 2003

In September 2011, descendant Jane Campbell of Georgia contacted the Davidson County Cemetery Survey Project and asked that the Benson Cemetery be re-visited.  Two Volunteer Cemetery Surveyors re-visited the Benson Cemetery in October 2011.  The cemetery was overgrown.  At that time there were no crews available to deal with these maintenance problems. Now Community Service Workers, under the Metro Beautification Department, are available for cemetery clearing of debris and overgrowth.  A request will be made to Metro Beautification to check on the current condition of the Benson Cemetery.
