RE-SURVEY SITE VISIT  NOVEMBER 3, 2004

Research Information.  Devon Farm Cemetery was surveyed on March 27, 2000, in the Davidson County Cemetery Survey project.  At that time the cemetery was overgrown   making it difficult to find and read all the markers.  In 2002, the property was sold to The Ensworth School for the construction of its new high school.  Between 2002 and 2004, the graves were removed from their original cemetery location and re-interred at a new site on the property.  Protective fencing was placed around the cemetery.   During the re-survey of the cemetery, on November 3, 2004, the Survey Volunteers located four additional tombstones in the graveyard, which had not been visible during the 2000 survey visit.  Only one of these tombstones had a legible inscription.
