NE-36: NASHVILLE, DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. Percy Priest Lake Property IN 2003, DAVIDSON COUNTY CEMETERY SURVEYORS ATTEMPTED TO LOCATE A “FUQUA CEMETERY” AS IDENTIFIED ON A WEB SITE CALLED topozone.com. A POSSIBLE SITE FOR THIS CEMETERY WAS LOCATED BUT NO TOMBSTONES WERE VISIBLE. IN THE PAST YEAR A LARGER AND CLEARER MAP WAS OBTAINED FROM topozone.com. On JANUARY 21, 2005, ANOTHER VISIT BY CEMETERY SURVEYORS WAS MADE, WITH PERMISSION, TO EXPLORE THE AREA ON THE PERCY PRIEST RESERVOIR PROPERTY. ON THIS VISIT, THE TOP AND SIDES OF A WHAT-SEEMED-TO-BE A BOX TOMB WERE FOUND IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA PINPOINTED BY THE TOPOGRAPHICAL MAP. RESEARCH IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY TO DETERMINE THE NAMES OF PREVIOUS LAND OWNERS AND TO SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM FUQUA DESCENDANTS TO LEARN THE NAMES OF FAMILY MEMBERS WHO MIGHT HAVE BEEN BURIED IN THIS CEMETERY.
