Tennessee Record. Tombstone Inscriptions and Manuscripts, compiled by Jeannette Tillotson Acklen, and published in 1933, listed the Hyde Cemetery with five tombstone inscriptions.  Four of those recorded above were in this listing:  Henry Hyde, Jordan Hyde, Felix R. Hyde and Martha L. (Mattie L.) Young.  Also recorded in 1933, but no longer with visible tombstone in 2004, was the following:
                    In memory of Taswell Hyde
                    who died May 3, 1838,
age 43 years 1 month and 17 days
He leaves a wife and six children to mourn him

Report: 4-5-2004

Additions and corrections, sent to the Davidson County Cemetery Survey project by Ynette Boyce Hermes, have been added to the inscription list as presented above. Ynette and her husband, R. E. Hermes, a great-great-great grandson of Henry Hyde, visited the cemetery in September 2013.  They noted the following: There were also six polished granite markers with no inscriptions. Of these six tombstones without inscription, two tombstones were located 4-5 feet from footstones of Leonard, Mattie and Annie Young and four tombstones were located 7-8 feet south of the cinder block rectangle.

Updated Report.  March 2014
