WHEN CEMETERY SURVEYORS VISITED THIS CEMETERY ON FEBRUARY 17, 2000, ONE TOMBSTONE WAS LOCATED AND RECORDED. AFTER LEARNING FROM DESCENDANTS THAT, AT ONE TIME, THIS HAD BEEN A LARGE FAMILY GRAVEYARD, WITH AS MANY AS 25 TOMBSTONES, A REVISIT WAS PLANNED. ON DECEMBER 5, 2002, THREE ARCHAEOLOGISTS AND THREE CEMETERY SURVEYORS RETURNED TO THE SITE. CAREFUL EXPLORATION OF THE SURROUNDING AREA RESULTED IN THE LOCATION OF ONE ADDITIONAL TOMBSTONE WITH AN INSCRIPTION. THIS TOMBSTONES WAS RECORDED. OTHER LARGE PIECES OF BROKEN TOMBSTONES WERE FOUND, BUT THEIR INSCRIPTIONS WERE FACE DOWN AND COULD NOT BE READ.
