OH-34: NASHVILLE, DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. E. Ashland Drive
According to family descendants, the Rucker Cemetery was destroyed by developers in the early 1960’s. Fifteen or twenty tombstones were removed from the cemetery and carted away. The graves remained on the site. Family members reported the location of the cemetery site to government authorities and today the cemetery is marked on the Metro Planning Commission property map.
In January, 2004, descendants were identified and asked to send to the Davidson County Cemetery Survey project the names of those known to have been buried in the cemetery.
Persons with additional information about the Rucker Cemetery are asked to return to the Home Page, click-on “Report A Cemetery” and send an email.
