Sneed, Mary DeLoach Cemetery


 OH-30: NASHVILLE, DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN.   Original location West Davidson Co.

According to T. Vance Little, Historic Brentwood, published in 1985, James Sneed brought his family to the Brentwood area in 1798,  and his brother William and wife Mary DeLoach Sneed settled in the area now-called the Chickering Estates.  The division of Samuel DeLoach’s estate took place, in January 1794, according to records of the Davidson County court. 

During 1980, Glencliff High School students developed a compilation a number of cemeteries in Davidson County.  Their findings were published in Selected Cemeteries in Davidson County, Tennessee. A Century Three Project, in 1980.  One of the cemeteries listed:

             Mary DeLoach Sneed. Daughter of Samuel DeLoach. Wife of William Sneed

 The location of the cemetery is not known to current residents of the area nor is it known whether the graveyard was destroyed during development 30 years ago.
