WC-38: NASHVILLE, DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. White’s Creek Pike
Information was sent to the Davidson County Cemetery Survey by Donald Kribbs, on May 27, 2002, concerning an unmarked cemetery located along White’s Creek Pike.
According to Donald Kribbs:
“This is an unmarked cemetery – a fact which is probably unknown to contemporary
residents, and the more elderly, who knew of it are, to my knowledge, now deceased.
Many of those buried there died in what was reported to me as the ‘yellow fever epidemic of the late 1890s.’ In 1949-50, I was pastor of the Alex Green Methodist
Church and learned of this burial site from the elderly members of that church. There were shards of what at one time would have been grave markers and some markers were of wood.”
